This red brindle dog whelped in March '08 has proved himself a speed machine now holding 2 track records in the State. Damek took out this years Maiden Thousand with ease, he also won his heat of the St Leger breaking 26 seconds suggesting that he was capable of breaking the record and he won the Final by 5 lengths.

The brilliant DAMEK took out the Betfair Tasmanian Gold Cup Final in November, he beat his opponents by 5 lengths in the great time of 25.97. Owned by Peter Phillips and trained by Eileen Thomas

Spiritual One winner of the thetote.com.au Maiden Thousand
owned in Victoria by Dave Burnett and trained by Mick Stringer. Spiritual One was slow to begin from box 7 but mustered speed to beat the opposition by 6 lengths in the time of 26.26sec.

Pudzianowski named after a strong man showed his own strength with a track record win in a heat of the Greg Fahey Mid Distance Championship over the 599m trip. Owned by Greg Swann and trained at Moorleah by leading trainer Russell Watts.
This red fawn dog took out the Greg Fahey Mid Distance Championship Final in style. There was some concern as to whether he would be able to cross the field from the 8 box, but he showed great race sense and crossed without any interference and then put a gap in the field going down the back.
Pudzianowski won by 6L. We will see many more wins from this very talented greyhound.

Damek the Tasmanian Champion broke the track record at Tattersall's Park in October and then broke the record again a few weeks later. 25.79 is an incredible time on the Big U turn track. Congratulations to owner Peter Phillips and trainer Eileen Thomas who has done a wonderful job. Damek will be set for the Hobart Thousand this year which will be a thrilling event.

Octane Show is a red fawn dog owned by Tyron Whittington & Greg Sprod and trained at Cranbourne by Darren McDonald.
Octane Show broke the track record in his heat of the Group 1 Hobart Thousand running a brilliant 25.75 and won the Final by 2L in 25.83.
Darren McDonald made Tasmanian greyhound racing history as he is the first trainer to take out the three major races in Tasmania in the one year. Darren won both the Devonport Cup (G3), Launceston Cup (G2) earlier in the year and last night he took out the one race that has been eluding him, the Hobart Thousand (G1) this is an incredible training feat by Darren.

SULTAN'S SWING

The ever consistant Sultan's Swing trained by Ted Medhurst won 2 Invitation races in the very fast times of 25.83 and 25.99. She also picked up a placing in March.. Sultan's Swing is owned by the Dire Straits Syndicate and she has had 48 starts in Tasmania for 25 wins and 13 placings. Congratulations to connections, there are many more wins to come.

The ever consistent Sultan's Swing seem to have a love of the Hobart track and the more she races the better she gets. With several Invitation wins and a third in the Mercury Silver Trophy it brings her total to 38 starts at Hobart for 21 wins. Owned by the Dire Straits Syndicate and trained by Ted Medhurst this black bitch continues to impress
